About Us
Jack H. Wieland Builders, Inc. a family owned business, has been committed to creating quality homes of distinction in the Greater Cincinnati area since 1966. The company, started by Jack, has been a family tradition of quality and excellence. "When we go to work....we think of you coming home" is the motto that Wieland Builders lives by.
Jack Wieland's father, Harold G. Wieland, a real estate brokerage owner who began building single-family residences in 1955, introduced Jack to the building industry. He became immediately enthused by the building industry and learned all aspects of the field working for his father. Jack and his father formed a partnership called H.G. Wieland and Son in 1964, and two years later, Jack ventured out on his own, forming Jack H. Wieland Builders, Inc.
After a modest beginning building 2,000 square foot homes priced at $31,900 in 1966, Jack entered the Home Builders Associatation of Greater Cincinnati's HOMEARAMA in 1976. That was the beginning of his involvement in the Homebuilders Association of Greater Cincinnati, being elected to the Board of Director's in 1978. Jack is the only person to have served as President of the Association twice, in 1983 and 1993. He was also the chairman of HOMEARAMA for 17 years. Jack's son Jeff was the 2005 President of The Home Builders Association. He also chaired the HOMEARAMA five times, and first served on the Board of Director's since 2001.
The success of Jack H. Wieland Builders is due to a great family effort that consists of Jack and his wife, Sue, and their three children. The third generation started in 1989 when the Wieland's oldest son Mike came to work for the company as a supervisor. Currently as the Vice President of Production, Mike enjoys ensuring that Wieland homes are built with quality by overseeing all field productivity.
The Wieland's middle son, Jeff, began working with the company in 1997 after graduating from Ohio State University. As the Vice President of Operations, Jeff works in all aspects of the daily operations of the company.
The family tradition of excellence and quality carries on through three generations, and plans to continue for many more years to come. The Wieland's have a very dedicated work ethic and have devoted their lives to building the business.
