The House of Tranquility is located in Green Township, Ohio. Our clients desired a low maintenance retirement home with a modern farmhouse style with views of the pond and trees surrounding the property There are many exterior details on this home that include a large welcoming covered front porch, canted garage, textured brick, stone, decorative wood trusses on the garage and gables, Hardie shaker siding and wrapped tapered columns, corbels and black accents with the windows, trim, gutters and front door that ties it all together. The back of the home has a covered screened-in porch, wrapped Hardie pillars and a deck made with composite decking materials-Trex.

When you enter the home, you can see straight through to the outdoor living area. Natural light fills this space from the front door, the sliding glass doors and transom from the outdoor living area. The entry walls have a shaker style wainscotting that leads to the home office and great room. Prefinished engineered hardwood is used throughout the home. The great room has a traditional coffered ceiling, arched case openings and a modern linear fireplace surrounded by ledgestone.

An outdoor living space is accessible from the great room and kitchen. This screened-in porch is the perfect spot to view the pond on the property. The screen has a large 16’ span without supports that obstruct the view.

is open to the great room. The custom cabinetry has two tones used in the space. There is a large island with seating, sliding barn doors with access to the pantry, an appliance hood is surrounded by the unique textured design of a white contemporary graphic backsplash. The dining area is surrounded by windows bringing more natural light to this area.

Off the kitchen is a hall leading to the laundry, mudroom and primary suite. The primary bedroom has a tray ceiling and the bathroom has a large two sink bowl vanity and large beautifully tiled walk-in shower. On the opposite side of this level of the home are 2 bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom in between.

The lower level has a large entertainment bar with seating, custom cabinetry, integrated lighting and granite countertop. There is a walk-out with access to an additional lower level patio.
